Embrace Randomness

Howdy, it's Brian here. I wanted to let you know about an event I'm helping out with that is taking place this Saturday, Dec. 9th at the EARL.

It's called the Happenstance and this is its third year. Jeff Holt (Silent Kids, Georgia Fireflies) heard about this event that happens every year in Denton, TX called Rock Lottery. I though it was a cool idea, so we decided to bring it east to Atlanta and call it Happenstance.

The concept is to ask 30 musicians to meet us at a local club early in the morning. We randomly divide them into 6 five piece bands and send them off for the day to write a 20 minute set of music. They come back to the club that night to perform their set. All proceeds benefit a charity and this year that charity is the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
